Why We Use Wooden Wicks

When I started to make candles, there was just something about using wooden wicks that I was drawn to so I knew our candles would have to have wooden wicks! Here are just a few of the reasons:

1. The number one reason is the Crackling ambiance: Wooden wicks are known for the cozy crackling sound they produce, reminiscent of a fireplace. This can add to the ambiance and atmosphere of a room.

2. Unique aesthetic: They offer a unique aesthetic appeal, particularly in natural or rustic-themed candles. I choose to focus on natural products, so this is a good fit.

3. Stability: Wooden wicks tend to be more stable and less prone to "mushrooming" (when the tip of the wick becomes excessively charred and bulbous), resulting in a cleaner burn.
